Taylor Swift Dad fume at Travis Kelce for missing ‘perfect opportunity’ to propose to his daughter after Super Bowl win: ‘What was even the point of this season?’

He may have got his hands on a second straight Super Bowl, but fans believe Travis Kelce missed the ‘perfect opportunity’ to put the icing on the cake on Sunday night.

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs became the first team to retain the Super Bowl for almost 20 years in Las Vegas, where they beat the San Francisco 49ers in the final three seconds of a dramatic overtime finale.

After lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy once more, some fans were hoping for Travis to get down on one knee and propose to girlfriend Taylor Swift, who was cheering him on at Allegiant Stadium after making a mad 5,500-mile rush across the globe to watch her man in action.

One wrote on X: ‘If Travis Kelce blows this opportunity to propose to Taylor Swift, he’s an idiot.’

Another asked after the game: ‘Okay is travis kelce gonna propose or what’.

A third put: ‘If Travis Kelce does not propose to Taylor Swift at the 50-yard line tonight then what was even the point of this season?’

A fourth commented: ‘All that hype and attention for their sooooooo-amazing relationship which has been going on for quite a bit of time now, and the perfect opportunity and setting for it to happen, but, alas, no proposal by 34-year-old #TravisKelce to 34-year-old #TaylorSwift’.

Kelce and Swift only went public with their romance when the singer and songwriter arrived at Arrowhead in late September to watch his game against the Chicago Bears.

The couple are believed to have started dating last summer, meaning they have not yet had their one-year anniversary together.
