Released on September 25, 2026, The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore expands Swift’s 2025 album with four additional tracks: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.”

What makes the release particularly interesting is Swift’s explanation for why the songs exist.

According to Swift, she travelled to Sweden with longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback to celebrate the extraordinary response to The Life of a Showgirl. The trip was supposed to be a chance to reflect on the album’s success.

But there was a recording studio nearby.
And, as Swift explained, the three collaborators did what they tend to do when inspiration strikes: they started writing songs.

The result became The Encore.
