Why Taylor Swift and fiancé Travis Kelce STILL haven’t moved in together despite their engagement, and it’s a RULE she will NEVER break even if she gets Married and have Kids

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce shocked fans earlier this week when they revealed their engagement. But in another twist, sources say the pop superstar and her NFL fiancé aren’t even living under the same roof yet.
According to TMZ, Taylor and Travis — both 35 — are still maintaining separate residences despite their romantic engagement photoshoot. Insiders explained that hectic schedules and logistics are the main reasons they haven’t officially moved in together.
Taylor, who made her first post-engagement appearance with Travis at a college football game in Kansas City on Thursday, is constantly jetting around the world for her Eras Tour. Meanwhile, Travis is frequently traveling during the NFL season.
The Love Story singer is also known for her extensive real estate portfolio, with properties in New York, Beverly Hills, Nashville, and Rhode Island — the latter of which she recently filed a $1.7 million renovation plan for. Travis, by comparison, owns a mansion in Leawood, Kansas, near his team’s hometown, and co-owns a condo in Orlando, Florida, with his brother Jason and their mom, Donna Kelce.
While the couple regularly spends time at each other’s homes, sources confirmed they haven’t fully combined their lives just yet. Still, house-hunting rumors swirled earlier this month when the pair were spotted looking at properties in Cleveland, Ohio, near where Travis grew up.
Their first outing as an engaged couple came Thursday night at a college football game between Travis’ alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Nebraska. Taylor drew attention in a chic pleated miniskirt, sweater vest, and knee-high boots, while Travis cheered in a bold red-and-white ensemble. But the real showstopper was Taylor’s dazzling diamond ring, estimated at $700,000 to $1 million.
Fans quickly lit up social media, joking that the sparkler was “so shiny it might blind the players.” The diamond, an Old Mine Brilliant Cut believed to be from Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry, made headlines almost as much as the engagement itself.
The couple confirmed their happy news earlier this week with a joint Instagram post featuring photos taken in the backyard of Travis’ $6 million Kansas mansion. The caption — “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married” — was paired with a dynamite emoji, a nod to their “TnT” nickname.
But while the announcement came Tuesday, Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, revealed that the NFL star had actually popped the question weeks earlier, on August 10 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. “He asked her to have a glass of wine, and that’s when he got down on one knee. It was beautiful,” Ed told ABC News 5 Cleveland.
Taylor, who was reportedly growing “a little antsy” before the proposal, immediately said yes. The couple FaceTimed both families to share the news before posting it publicly.
For the engagement shoot, the pair wore matching Ralph Lauren looks, with Taylor donning a striped silk-blend dress paired with her Cartier Santos Demoiselle watch, valued at over $18,000.
Their love story has been front and center since Taylor first appeared at a Chiefs game in September 2023. Since then, she has cheered Travis on through two Super Bowls while he has supported her record-breaking tour across the globe.
Now, with wedding bells on the horizon, fans are waiting to see when — and where — the couple will finally set up a home together.
