Travis Kelce breaks silence on Taylor Swift’s Grammys, has message for ‘Swifties’
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was unable to attend the 66th Grammy Awards due to Super Bowl commitments.
Super Bowl week is finally here, as Las Vegas officially begins its festivities for what will arguably be the city’s most memorable sports week on record.
On Monday, Super Bowl Media Day took place, giving members of the media the chance to have access to all members of both the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.
One of the most sought after press conferences at Allegiant Stadium was undoubtedly Travis Kelce’s. The Chiefs tight end has been a force in the NFL playoffs with 23 catches for 262 yards and 3 TDs over the span of three games.
Travis Kelce says he “wants this SB ring more than any other”
While the Chiefs star fielded many Super Bowl-related questions, he also graciously answered questions related to Taylor Swift’s record-setting night at Sunday’s Grammy Awards. His girlfriend capped off an incredible night with two wins (giving her a total of 14), including an Album of the Year win which made her the all-time leader in the category (with 4).
She’s unbelievable, she’s rewriting the history books herself,” Kelce said on Monday night. “I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and bring some hardware too.” The Chiefs star also revealed he has already listened to songs on her upcoming album (set for release on April 19).

Visibly gushing, the star tight end spoke about the impact of ‘Swifties’ following his and the singer’s NFL journey this season: “Taylor has an incredible fan base that follows and supports her throughout her life. It’s been fun to bring together the Swifties and the Chiefs Kingdom, introducing them to the football and sports world. It’s been cool to experience that.”
On the sports side of things, Kelce told the media that he “wants this Super Bowl ring more than any other”. Winning back-to-back Lombardi trophies would certainly be a fairy-tale ending to his most romantic year yet.
