With two minutes left in the first quarter, Patrick Mahomes hit his favorite target for a 20-yard gain, sparking nostalgia as their famous chemistry clicked instantly back into gear.

Moments later, Kelce gave the clearest sign yet that his trademark flair is back. After catching another Mahomes dart, he twisted past a defender, spun into open space, and muscled forward for an extra 10 yards.

The Chiefs now have less than two weeks to sharpen their edge before their season opener on September 5 in São Paulo, Brazil, against the Los Angeles Chargers.
