Chiefs Coach Andy Reid Reveals What Travis Kelce Refused To Do At Training Camp Because Taylor Swift Told Him Even If It Gets Him BANNED From NFL

After falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, many thought Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce might hang up his cleats. But, after taking some time to think about it, the 10-time Pro Bowler elected to return for his 13th NFL season.
Now, Kelce, Andy Reid and company have begun their chase for a fourth ring, starting 2025 training camp last week.
Andy Reid Opens Up About Travis Kelce’s Age
Kelce, 35, is clearly in the later stages of his career, coming off one of his least productive seasons in 2024 with 97 catches for 823 yards and three touchdowns. However, Chiefs coach Andy Reid doesn’t appear concerned about his age.
On Wednesday, during a break from practice, Reid joined CBS Sports for a 1-on-1 interview. When discussing his tight end, Reid admitted Kelce wouldn’t come out for a single rep during practice despite his age and the heat.
“I mean, Trav comes out here, he’s the oldest one,” Reid said. “He came out here and didn’t miss a rep yesterday. I mean it was hot… And he came out and refused to come out. He just wanted to keep rolling.”
Travis Kelce Came To Training Camp in Great Shape
During the offseason, rumors swirled that Kelce had dropped 25 pounds in pursuit of a fourth Super Bowl ring. While that was later debunked, the former Cincinnati Bearcats star did slim down and get into better shape. And Coach Reid has taken notice.
“He came back in great shape and all the guys see that,” Reid added. “They get excited about that. You’re looking at him and you’re going, ‘Listen, if this guy can do it at 80 years old, we should be able to do it, right?’ We’ve got a healthy group of guys that are real good leaders.”
