‘I Wear Nothing But a Tie When Taylor Comes Home’ – Travis Kelce Hilariously Reveals What He does at Home in His Relationship With Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce is coming off of the worst season of his NFL career — in terms of receiving yards and touchdowns — since his rookie year (when he played just one snap on special teams before suffering a season-ending injury). The Kansas City Chiefs star tight end recorded 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 97 receptions.

While he considered retirement over the offseason, he ultimately opted to return for a 13th season — citing the bad taste left in his mouth by the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. Off the field, Kelce has seen his star power rise due to his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift and his immensely popular “New Heights” podcast, which he hosts with his older brother and former Eagles center Jason Kelce.

During the latest episode of the podcast, Kelce hilariously compared himself to Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman” while discussing his relationship with the popstar.

Chiefs Star Travis Kelce Compares His Relationship With Taylor Swift to ‘Pretty Woman’

Kelce has been in a relationship with Swift since 2023, seeing his popularity outside of the football world take off since dating the superstar. He jokingly compared their relationship to ‘Pretty Woman’ during the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast. After saying that they need to make a movie called “Pretty Man” with the roles reversed and a billionaire woman, Jason pointed out that this sounds an awful lot like Travis’ relationship.

Travis cracked up and responded: “I’m wearing nothing but a tie when Taylor comes home. You can’t beat it, man. That’s why me and Julia Roberts… when I met Julia, it felt like we were the same person. She spoke to me in this movie. I’m just an NFL stripper, that’s it — just an NFL hooker, man.”

The Kelce brothers enjoyed a good laugh over the comparison. “Pretty Woman” is a 1990 film starring Roberts, who plays a prostitute, and Richard Gere, who plays a wealthy businessman. After a chance meeting where she helps him get to his hotel, the pair wind up spending time together and eventually falling in love.

“Pretty Woman” had a $14 million budget and made $463.4 million in the box office. Roberts was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 63rd Academy Awards, losing to Kathy Bates for her performance in “Misery.” She did, however, win the Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the 48th Golden Globe Awards.

The film launched her into superstardom. Her films have combined to gross nearly $4 billion, making her one of the most successful actresses of all-time.
