‘Congratulations Boss!’ Travis Kelce’s hair barber Gives him a Free Hair Cut after Hearing About Taylor Swift’s Pregnancy
Patrick Regan, a 2006 graduate of La Salle College High School and the owner/founder of Patty Cuts, gave NFL star and three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs a pre-game haircut yesterday.
The Rockledge native is a personal stylist for Kelce, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints, world-champion boxer (and Philly native) Danny Garcia, UFC World Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman, and Sean Love Combs aka “Diddy”, among other names.
He has also been hired by Old Spice as a brand ambassador and Conair’s BaBylissPRO introduced a limited edition Patty Cuts trimmer.
Patty Cuts charges between several hundred and more than $1,000, but “what makes Regan’s story stick isn’t a local angle or marquee clientele. It’s how he overcame personal tragedy, drug treatment, and industry challenges, and how he copes with success, defining his character and fueling his brand,” the Philadelphia Inquirer said in 2021.
According to the Inquirer, he got his start the summer before eighth grade when he converted his parents’ unfinished cellar into a practice parlor. From there, he learned the fade-style haircut that is now his signature, and started charging $5 by his sophomore year at La Salle.
Regan’s father committed suicide after he graduated, after which he became addicted to painkillers, the Inquirer said. He moved to Boca Raton, where he spent two stints in rehab, graduated from Florida Barber Academy, and has been growing his trade ever since.
